چکیده
Recently, an increasing interest in fruits and vegetable eating has been noticed particular through epidemiological biochemical studies pointing to their health benefits for human health. Specifically, apples (Malus domestica Borkh.) are one of the most frequently consumed fruits. Therefore, current study aimed compare total polyphenols content (TPC) antioxidant activity (AA) apple from different columnar trees growing experimental conditions. For this purpose, 7 cultivars obtained Botanic Garden (Slovak University Agriculture, Slovakia; vegetative season 2019/2020) were analysed. Among them, four green-yellow cultivars: Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Goldcats, Rondo; green cultivar with red spots: Kordona; cultivar: Redcats, pink Pompink, used. Method using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent was applied quantify TPC, radical scavenging samples measured 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavengers. Total (mg GAE.g-1 dry weight) ranged 2.92 ±0.31 (cv. Pompink) 9.02 ±0.32 Smith), whereas statistically significant differences (p <0.05) recorded between all analysed except Rondo (5.07 ±0.44) Kordona (4.18 ±0.35) as compared Redcats (4.96 ±1.06) one. As lowest values AA observed Pompink (35.03 ±3.49 %) and, conversely, highest ones Smith (88.55 ±4.25 %). These results suggest that TPC strongly influenced depending on cultivars. From aspect, upon achievement survey, employing more samples, it will be possible create a comprehensive overview properties possibility application food industry develop innovative products added value.</p>

Impact of shelf life on content of primary and secondary metabolites in apple (Malus domestica Borkh.).
In this study, we evaluated the changes in apple fruit quality during shelf life. After a month of cold storage, apples of cultivars "Jonagold" and "Golden Delicious" were exposed to ambient temperatures for 21 d, with subsequent sampling every 3 or 4 d. Fruit firmness, changes in amounts of sugars, malic acid, and phenolics were observed during shelf life. Chemical analyses were done with HPLC...
متن کاملTriterpenes and Phenolic Compounds in Apple Fruit (Malus domestica Borkh.)
Apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.), a popular and widely cultivated fruit world-wide, contains bioactive triterpenes and phenolic compounds with potentially valuable pharmacological functions. This thesis investigated the effects of pre-harvest and postharvest factors on concentrations of these bioactive compounds in apples. It also studied the effect of ozone treatment, before or during storage,...
متن کاملImpact of suppression of ethylene action or biosynthesis on flavor metabolites in apple (Malus domestica Borkh) fruits.
To understand the role of ethylene in regulating the overall flavor of apple fruits, ethylene production or action was reduced using transgenic apple trees suppressed for ACC-synthase or ACC-oxidase enzyme activity or by the addition of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), an ethylene action inhibitor. Flavor components were differentially regulated in response to the suppression of both ethylene bios...
متن کاملEffects of Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) Diet on Rat Reproduction and Sex Ratio of Offsprings
Background & Aims: Apple (Malus domestica Borkh. from Rosaceae family), a rich source of phytoestrogenes has not been thoroughly tested for its reproductive effects. In this study, we investigated the effects of apple diet on rats' reproduction. Method: Nine groups of NMRI rats (n= 10 females + 2 males) with different apple diets (free- apple diet and apple diet in every other day and every tow...
متن کاملVariations of antioxidant characteristics and mineral contents in pulp and peel of different apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) cultivars from Pakistan.
Variations of phenolics, antioxidant activity, and mineral contents in peel and pulp of five apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) cultivars from Pakistan, namely Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Kashmiri Amri, Kala Kulu and Sky Spur were appraised. The mean extract yield of antioxidant components obtained with 80:20 methanol-water (v/v), was found to be 22.1 g/100 g for peel and 14.2 g/100 g for pulp...
